parent coaching & family support

"When the world sees a 'behavior problem,' but your gut sees a child who is struggling."

Parent your unique child with calm and connection by decoding your family system, not with endless consequences and shouting.

Together, we’ll aim to identify the sources of chaos and confusion for clarity and confidence and co-create practical strategies tailored to your family's unique system and your child's specific needs.

How can Parent Coaching help?

You love your child, but you are exhausted by:

  • The Repetition: Being a "broken record" with instructions that never land.

  • The Morning Chaos: The daily battle over shoes, teeth, and leaving the house.

  • The School Anxiety: Dreading the emails about behaviour or missed homework.

  • The Emotional Whiplash: Swinging from empathy to rage in the span of a minute.

  • The Silent Guilt: Watching other families and wondering, "Why is this so hard for us?"

Parent Coaching: The "Oxygen Mask" Protocol

  • We work together to manage parental burnout, reduce chronic stress, and develop your own emotional coping toolkit.

  • We look at the whole family and life system if needed, to find where the stress is entering the system and we explore options. This could be new skills, new strategies or techniques at home or school, external referrals, all with the aim of ensuring your home is moving in the direct of calm and connection.

  • Note: I provide coaching for adults and parents for managing their child's and /or their own neurodivergence.

  • I do not provide direct coaching to children except to support parents introducing or embedding a process. Instead I work with the parents primarily (as you're the ones who to drive it home after all the professionals clock off after all!) and can provide you with referrals to fabulous clinicians and neurotype coaches who do work directly with your children and teens if you are looking for that.

The Full Journey: End-to-End Guidance

  • The path from suspecting an issue to receiving a diagnosis and finding support is often confusing and fragmented.

  • From the moment you first notice your child or teen struggling, I can help you develop your roadmap of next steps, process and integrate clinical feedback, prepare for specialist appointments, and help to connect the dots between different professionals.

  • I can assist with information and support around screening, diagnosis and treatment options as you explore your child's needs. You don't have to feel confused or guess what to do next.

Screening & Assessment Support

  • Are you noticing your child struggle but not sure if it warrants a full diagnositic process?

  • Are you worried you're over-reacting by considering diagnosis?

  • Do you think to yourself "Aren't all kids like this?" "I struggled a bit at school but I got through ok..."

  • Friends & Family make you feel like your kid's behaviours 'difficult' behaviours are due to your lack of parenting skills? Maybe your child just needs more structure & attention? Maybe they just need more homework support or help making friends?

  • We do preliminary screening for you so you can see whether there is sufficient evidence to warrant spending more time and money on a full diagnostic process.

Note: If seeking assessment only (not ongoing therapy or treatment) then multiple family members can be assessed.

Neuro-Affirming Advocacy

supporting empowerment at school, work & in the community

  • We shift the focus from labels and stereotypes to understanding the unique strengths and challenges of each person's neurotype.

  • At home, I help you create a supportive environment that validates experience, rebuilds self-esteem by focusing on strengths and normalising uniqueness.

  • For school, (or for teen's in TAFE and work), I aim to equip you with the language, evidence, and confidence needed to advocate effectively for accommodations and/or educational interventions that support learning and take individualised needs into consideration.
